I have reviewed draft-ietf-aqm-docsis-pie-02 as part of the Operational directorate's ongoing effort to review all IETF documents being processed by the IESG. These comments were written with the intent of improving the operational aspects of the IETF drafts. Comments that are not addressed in last call may be included in AD reviews during the IESG review. Document editors and WG chairs should treat these comments just like any other last call comments. I found the document is clear and Ready. This is a Informational draft from the AQM WG which contains requirements for DOCSIS (cable modems) equipment in regards to active queue management including differences from the approach outlined in draft-ietf-aqm-pie. Nits/suggestions: Section 4.2 - It seems odd to use the generic and commonly used terminology of token bucket for the first time in this section, while backwards referencing that is what was previously described in Section 3. Section 3 might benefit from use of these common terms directly. Section 5 - I found it confusing to have a reference to pseudo-code here being assumed as understood / already seen by the reader, w/o a reference to the Appendix where it is contained.
