We are facing an issue, where GW continues to play = dial tone even after terminating end starts ringing. (We expect ringback tone to = be applied to originating line here).

 

Timeout has been sent in response to gateway = controller request. My question here is,

 

Should the GW has to play ringback tone or it = should get instructed by the gateway controller to apply ringback tone to = originating end ?

 

Also there is a delay in establishing two way = speech path when terminating end goes offhook (Approx 25 secs). For a certain amount = of time terminating end hears originating end (One way speech path = initially, later (after ~25 sec delay) two way speech path.

Telikom PNG Ltd is trying to adopt Next Generation Network services by deploying IP networks over a legacy TDM network. I have been reading the comments & discussions of this forum and it has furthered my understanding into NGN functions with associated protocols between the IP/MPLS core and Soft Switch. With appreciation of the forum, I wish to further acquire NGN skills and knowledge by attending hands-on trainings and conferences with the NGN team in Telikom PNG Ltd. Hello = Members,

 

I have a SGX-100 SIP Media Gateway box and want to configure new IP = address for it to access Internet for remote management.

Factory default was 192.168.2.240.
the following network setting was submitted via a hub from my laptop (IP = 10.1.1.1);

Local IP: 10.1.1.5, Default Gateway: 10.1.1.254, Eth3 IP address: 10.1.1.5, = Eth3 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0, DNS Primary Server = 10.1.1.5

Now I can NOT ping 10.1.1.5 or get into the box. At this time, is there any = way I can get in, like consoling or others., any manuals?
